I did it.

I took the plunge.

I stepped up.

No, I didn't get engaged or married or have a kid or buy a house or buy a car or move into my own apartment or use power tools or cook meat, or do anything else intrisically manly. 

I bought a 62" television. Oh, and an XBOX 360. Anyone want to come over and play?

Selling Out

Hey kids, just a head's up.  I'll be guest-blogging over at whereisvanslyke.blogspot.com today while its regular blogmaster (is that a word?) is on vacay.  It's an all-Pirates, all the time blog named "Where have you gone, Andy Van Slyke," and it's probably the best (and one of the most popular) Pirates blogs out there. I'm an oft-poster there, and I was asked to step in for a day and do the game preview and game summary.

It's not the biggest deal in the world, but it felt pretty cool to be asked. I'm thinking of starting a Pirates blog of my own, soon, because they seem to be the only thing I feel passionately about anymore. 

Anyway, if you actually want to, you know, read something that I've written with any level of inspiration, today's the day.  My game preview'll be up in the afternoon, and my game recap will be up sometime tomorrow.

So i guess tomorrow's the day, actually.

Okay, so I'll be here for like, five minutes. Just wanted to drop this LINK which basically cements my support for Stewart/Colbert in '08.  Maddox/Mills is so 2004. 

Anyway, thanks to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday, or helped participate in the festivities. I'm off to Boston in about 18 hours for Dom's wedding. And if you're really nice, perhaps I'll blog about it from Boston on Saturday...

...that, or I'll go catch Talledega Nights with D-OX. "I am coming for yu, rickee bubby".
